Mamie Lou Gibbs Henderson - Midway -Mamie Lou Gibbs Henderson, 82, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah after a long illness. She was a native and life long resident of Liberty County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hinesville. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, John T. Henderson, Jr. of Colonels Island; one son and daughter-in-law, John T. III and Pam Henderson of Colonels Island; one daughter and son-in-law, Miriam and Wendell Hodges of Brevard, NC; one sister, Johnnie M. Rollison of Hinesville; two grandsons and their wives, Brian C. and Sarah Hodges of Greenville, SC and Scott T. and Allison Hodges of Athens, GA; two great grandsons, Benjamin Clark Hodges and Thomas Henderson Hodges of Greenville, SC; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Harriet Greene of Midway. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Hinesville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.
