Maggie Lou Jones Goodwin, 97, widow of Tom Goodwin, of 169 Goodwin Road, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at her home.Mrs. Goodwin was born on Sept. 10, 1908, in Fountain Inn, to the late Erastus D. Jones and Zadia Thackston Jones. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Durbin Creek Baptist Church, where she was active in all church phases until declining health in 1995.Surviving are a son, Jerry Goodwin and his wife, Betty, of Fountain Inn; two daughters, Nancy Lollis and her husband, Calvin, of Fountain Inn, and Tommie Crumpton and her husband, Marion, of Mauldin; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jones William Goodwin; a daughter, Jane Thomas; three brothers, Paul Jones, Robert Jones and William "Bill" Jones; four sisters, Ethel Vaughn, Nell King, Nan Blaine and Clara Curry; and a great-grandson, Trevor Thackston. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. today at Fletcher Funeral Service.Funeral services will be at noon today in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Don Stephens. Burial will be in Cannon Memorial Park.Memorials may be made to Durbin Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 3724 Durbin Church Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644; or to Southern Care Hospice, 1097 Highway 101, Greer, SC 29651.The family will be at their respective homes.
