Williams, Mae L. ALBANY Mae L. Williams, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2011, at Albany Medical Center with her family by her side. Mae was born in Clio, S.C., to the late Wilson and Winifred Meekins. She was devoted to her church and family, always there to lend a helping hand to others. She enjoyed traveling and worked for Ideal Toy Corp. in Jamaica, Queens for 27 years, and then came to Albany in 1991, where she worked and retired from The Maids as supervisor. She is survived by her son, Gerald and his wife, Pauline; her sister, Yvonne; her grandchildren Terrel, Marlene, Ryan, Earlene, Brian, Michele, Gerald Jr., Tijuana, Darnell, Lillian and Rhea; 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Walls Temple AME Zion Church, 27 Delaware St., Albany. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 at the church.
