Obituary of Lynda Anderson


Lynda Bolt Anderson, 79, of 311 Simpson Road, formerly of Antreville, in Abbeville County, widow of J. Perrin Anderson, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at Anderson Place.She was born in Anderson, the daughter of the late James Otis and Helen Chamblee Bolt.She was a graduate of Furman University and was a retired schoolteacher. She taught in the public schools of Anderson County for many years. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Antreville.Surviving are her son, James Perrin Anderson and his wife, Mary Jo, of Anderson; and her daughter, Jane A. Rivers and her husband, John C. Rivers III of Anderson; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Leigh Anderson, Joseph Perrin Anderson, John C. Rivers IV and Mary Katherine "Katie" Rivers, all of Anderson; and one sister, Miriam B. Knight of Charlottesville, Va.Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Todd Davis. The body is at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, 3205 North Highway 81. The family are at their respective homes, and will receive friends immediately following the service.Memorials may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1762 Bell Road, Iva, SC 29655, or to the charity of one's choice.Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, in charge of arrangements.
