Funeral for Lyle Wayne “Jack” Owens, 80, of Moulton will be today, May 2, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Richard Sport and Perry Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Aldridge Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Owens, who died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at his residence, was born Oct. 21, 1925, in Lawrence County to Albert C. and Mary Ann Owens. He was the previous owner and operator of Moulton Stockyard and a cattleman. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Danville Church of Christ. Mr. Owens was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters, Lula Callahan, Narce Owens, Vinson Owens, Dora Johnson, Myrtle Owens, Wyatt Owens, Eula McCullough, Chester Owens, Dorothy Hensley, Eredell Pittman and Pelham Woodrow. Survivors include the mother of his children, Olene Owens; two sons, Russell Owens of Hartselle and Barry Owens of Danville; three daughters, Diane Cameron and her husband, Tommy, of Danville, Judy Stewart and her husband, Cliff, of Leighton and Donna DiMilia and her husband, Antonio, of Woodstock, Ga.; one sister, Laverne Tapscott of Decatur; one brother, Oswald Owens of Danville; eight grandchildren, Amy Alred, Kim Walker, Casey Beauchamp, Clint Cameron, Kellie Frazier, Trace Stewart, Sydney DiMilia and Mark DiMilia; and six great grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Clint Cameron, Jarrod Alred, Chad Beauchamp, Lee Walker, Vann Owens, Brandon Owens and Trace Stewart. The family wish to extend a special thanks to Hospice of the Valley and to Mid-South Home Health. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Childhaven in Cullman.
