Lucille Russell Hall, age 97, of Walnut Street, Springfield, passed away at 5:18 p.m., Friday, Mar. 29, 2013 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center. She was a native of Marion County, born on Sept. 21, 1915 to the late Charlie Caldwell and Bertha Mouser Russell. She was the oldest member of the Springfield Christian Church, a homemaker and a former member of the Guiding Star Chapter #450, Order of The Eastern Star of Springfield. Preceding her in death were her husband, Raney Hall on Aug. 28, 2001 and a brother, John William Russell. Survivors include a son, Charles Raney Hall of Springfield; a sister, Lorinne Thornton of Lebanon; a half-sister, Virginia Mason of Lebanon and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Apr. 2 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Sherwood Evans, former minister of the Springfield Christian Church, officiating. He was assisted by Bro. Jessie Burns, the church minister. Burial was on Cemetery Hill. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jimmie Ward, James Robert Hall, Anna Faye Sallee, Anna Faye Reynolds, Barbara Ward, Carol Hall, Megan Hall, Sandy Hall and Mary Hall. Casket bearers were Dewayne Hall, Tommy Hall, Glen Hall, Matthew Hall, Russell Reynolds and Terry Russell. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
