CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. - Lucille A. "Lu" Raymond, 81, of Citrus Springs, Fla., passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014, at her home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by loving family members and under hospice care. She was born Nov. 7, 1932, in Manchester, N.H., to Albert and Clara (Chevalier) Ballard. Lu served in the U.S. Naval Reserve and was retired from the New England Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, a member of the Red Hat Society and the Telephone Pioneers Club. Lu was an avid reader, loved her computer and enjoyed sunning by the pool. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur, Paul and Richard Ballard; and by her sister, Doris Ballard. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Samuel T. Raymond of Citrus Springs, Fla., brothers Norman Ballard and wife Doris of Concord, N.H., Lionel Ballard of Tom's River, N.J., sisters, Annette Grenier of Citrus Springs, Fla., Yvette Pelletier and husband Alfred of Manchester, N.H. She also leaves sisters in law Georgianna Ballard, Ruth Ballard and Jeannine Ballard Metivier along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Memorial Service of Remembrance will take place at a later date. in Manchester, N.H.
