Louise W. Smith - REIDSVILLE - Louise W. Smith age 91, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at Tattnall Healthcare in Reidsville and under the care of Pearls of Life Hospice. Mrs. Smith was a native of Wayne County but lived in Glennville and Reidsville for most of her life. She was employed by Summerford Drug Company for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carey Lester Westberry of Jesup and Mattie Haddock Carter and Leige Carter of Fort Lauderdale and three sisters and five brothers all of Florida. Her husband of 58 years was I.S. Smith Jr. who died in 1997, and her son Dr. Larry E. Smith who died in 1995. She is survived by: Daughter and son in law, Judy and Jim Jordan of Reidsville; Five grandchildren, James Matthew Thompson of Reidsville, Seslee Mattson of Atlanta, Jennifer Burns of Lyons, Lauren Adams of Atlanta, Hope Jordan Oliver of Reidsville; Eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will begin at 12:00pm on Thursday January 6, 2011 from the Reidsville Chapel. The Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm also from the Reidsville Chapel with the Rev. Marc Foster Officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Reidsville United Methodist Church Food Pantry. Bradley B.
