Obituary of Lois-E. Hoffman


->Lois E. Hoffman WOODSTOCK- Lois E. Hoffman, 67, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at N.Y. Weill Medical Center in New York City. Born April 16, 1947 in Darby, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy Riegner Woelfel and had resided in Woodstock for many years. Mrs. Hoffman was employed as a teaching assistant in the Onteora Central School district for 27 years, having worked at Woodstock, West Hurley and Bennett. After her retirement, she was a volunteer at Woodstock Elementary. She was an active member of Overlook United Methodist Church and the Left Footers Square Dance Club. Surviving are her husband, Robert Hoffman, two sons, William (Chip)Hogg of Poughkeepsie and Donald M. Hogg of Panama City, Fla., a brother, Harold F. Woelfel of Middleburg, Pa. and a niece Erin Rice of Selingrove, Pa. and cousins. Friends will be received Saturday 10 a.m. until noon at Overlook United Methodist Chruch, 233 Tinker Street, Woodstock. The funeral service will follow at noon. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Krohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, 103 Patroon Drive, Guilderland, N.Y. 12084 or a charity of ones choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Lasher Funeral Home, Inc.,100 Tinker St., Woodstock.
