LLOYD PRESTONJOHNSON1930 - 2007Lloyd Preston Johnson, 76, of Milton, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Born June 10, 1930, in Tupelo, Mississippi, to the late Annie Lucille Smith and Charles Marion Johnson, he graduated in 1958 from Mississippi State University School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree, and was at the top of his class in the Honor Society. Lloyd moved to this area in 1963, from Vicksburg, Mississippi and retired from NARF Pensacola after 30 years of service with the Federal Government, as an aerospace engineer specializing in the H3 helicopter. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Tamara Ann Johnson and his son, Lloyd P. Johnson, Jr.Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Janet (Victor) Tisdale; brothers, Charles (Flora) Johnson of North Carolina, Douglas (Mae) Johnson of Eustis, FL, and Marion (Ruby) Johnson of Apopka, FL; grandchildren, Victoria (Jon) Phillips, Brittany Tisdale, and Stuart Tisdale; and great-grandson, Caleb Phillips.Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. at Eastern Gate Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
