Linda Gayle Smith SPARTANBURG, SC-- Ms. Linda Gayle Smith, 56, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. She was a native of Spartanburg County. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Ms. Dorothy Lyles Smith and the late Wesley T. Smith, Sr.; Mrs. Marion Jackson and the late Mr. Feman H. Jackson. Linda was a lifelong member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where she served as a Captain of the Usher Ministry. Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Ms. Smith are: her mother; her daughter, Ms. Enesia S. Rowland; sons, Terrance Smith and Marcus Smith both of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren, Nathaniel Green, Marquise Rowland, Marcus Rowland, Jr., Leslie Johnson, of Spartanburg, SC and Kenzleigh Smith of Charleston, SC; four sisters, Ms. Vickie Logan, Mrs. Robyn Annette (Jesse) Boyd, Mrs. Linda (Steve) Murph, Mrs. Wilma J. Moore all of Spartanburg, SC; five brothers, David Smith, Wesley Smith, Jr., Robert (Sharon) Smith, Victor Jackson, and Orlandes (Rhonda) Howard of Waldorf, MD; special uncle, B.J. Lyles; special aunts, Mrs. Rosemary Washington and Mrs. Tujina Lyles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted and loving friends. Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Feman "Sneak" Jackson. A Celebration of the Life of Ms. Linda Gayle Smith will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 12:00 noon at The Cornerstone Baptist Church; Bishop Charles J.J. Jackson, III will officiate. Interment will be held at Lincoln Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home, 748 Wofford Street, Spartanburg, SC.
