GUTHRIE, KERRY ELIZABETH - age 44 of Atlanta, GA was born December 3, 1966 and passed away October 7, 2011 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Kerry was raised in Claiborne County but had lived and owned a business in Atlanta for 20 years. She was a graduate of C.C.H.S. Class of '84 and attended LMU. She was co-owner of My Favorite Automotive in Atlanta, GA, profiled and recognized (on Atlanta TV and newspapers) many times for outstanding achievement in a business field not typical for women. She loved restoring antique trucks, building and driving race cars, her 2 dogs, Beau and Luke and many friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Sterling C. and Ruth Williams; step-father, Wayne P. Fugate and beloved dog Ollie. She is survived by her mother: Pat G. Fugate; sister and brother-in-law: Cindy and Jeff Norris; niece: Lily Ruth Norris; brother: Whitt Fugate; cousin: Whitt Shuford; step grandmother: Ruth Fugate; step aunt Elizabeth Fugate; business partner: Reggie Higgins; and a host of friends. Funeral services held in Decatur, GA. at A.S. Turner & Sons Saturday October 15, 2011, receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial/graveside service Sunday October 16, 2011 at Irish Cemetery at 3 p.m. in Tazewell, TN with Rev.
