AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Julia F. Williams entered into rest on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Waynesboro Deliverance Church with Pastor Glen Wiggins officiating. Burial will in Williams-Wiggins Cemetery (adjacent Brown Grove Baptist Church), Keysville. Ms. Williams, a 1956 graduate of Boggs Academy, received a degree from Hampton University and received a Masters degree in addition to advanced studies from Columbia University. After many years as an educator, she retired as principal of Whitlaw Jr. High School, Brooklyn, NY. Survivors are a brother, Sammie (Joan) Williams, Augusta; sisters, Mildred (Charles) Myles, Philadelphia, PA, Juanita (Richard) Johnson, Hephzibah; uncle, T. G. (Sadie) Blount, Jacksonville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
