Julia Elizabeth Jackson Morris, 92, wife of the late John Preston Morris, of 770 West Union Road, West Union, S.C., died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Oconee Memorial Hospital, Seneca, S.C.A native of Walhalla, S.C., Mrs. Morris was the daughter of the late Henry and Rhoda Rochester Jackson. She retired from the shipping department of Kenneth Cone Mills after forty-five years service. She was a member of College Street Baptist Church.Mrs. Morris is survived by son, Robert O. Morris of West Union, S.C.; daughter, Ruth M. Walker of Seneca, S.C.; grandson, Wade Walker of Easley, S.C.; and two great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Morris was predeceased by sister, Essie Mae Busch.Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, from the Chapel of Davenport Funeral Home, Walhalla, S.C., with burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca, S.C.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, prior to the service.The family is at the residence.Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.davenportfuneralhome.comDavenport Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
