Jules-A. Michaud, born in 1928, spouse of Mildred-Frances Walker, son of Leo and Eulalie, father of Kylie, Robert, Valerie Jean, Aaron, Rodney, Melanie, Matthew, Haleigh, Meghan, Leon, Ella, Ny, Carolyn, Susan and Michael, died on March 21, 2005 at 76 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Jules A. Michaud, 76, of Kozani Street, Bristol, widower of Mildred Frances (Walker) Michaud, died Monday, (March 21, 2005) at New Britain General Hospital. Jules was born June 16, 1928, in Hardwick, VT, a son of the late Leo and Eulalie (Alary) Michaud. Mr. Michaud attended Plainville Schools, graduating from Plainville High School in 1947. He was a longtime member of St. Matthew Church of Forestville. He especially enjoyed dancing, and tinkering with mechanical or electrical items to enhance their usefulness. He was known as the "Rosary Man of Kozani Street". He was loved and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends, and his faithful dog Sandy. His survivors include a son and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Susan Michaud of Goshen, and Carolyn Michaud of Syracuse, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Therese and Howard Rodgers of Forestville; his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Maritess and Leon Eichstedt and their children, Ella and Leon, Craig and Meghan Michaud and their children, Haleigh and Matthew, and Melanie and Rodney Cahalan and their children, Aaron and Kylie; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Robert Michaud, a daughter, Valerie Jean Michaud, two brothers, Robert and James, a sister, Jeanne, and a grandson, Robert Michaud Jr. Funeral services will be held Monday, 9 a.m. from the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Avenue, Forestville, to St. Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday evening, from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the International Alliance for Children, 2 Ledge Lane, New Milford, CT 06766, or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Connecticut Chapter, 1155 Silas Dean Hwy., Wethersfield, CT 06109, or the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
