Joseph Orlando Williams, 87, died June 9, 2006, at Fort Pierce Health Care. He was born in Claxton, Ga., and lived in St. Lucie County for 56 years, coming from Claxton. He was a welder in the agricultural industry. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lucinda Williams of Statesboro, Ga.; daughters, Elease Marshall of Fort Pierce, and Sylvia Williams of Philadelphia; sons, Jack Ross of Fort Pierce, and Wallace Brown of Savannah, Ga.; brothers, J.C. Sallie of Daisy, Ga., Otis Williams of Savannah, and Izell Williams of Pompano Beach; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Bynes of Savannah, and Mary Alice Williams of Claxton; 67 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and 110 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Willie Williams; sister, Mae Etta Mercer; brother, J.W. Williams; and one grandson. SERVICES: Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. June 16 and 9 to 11 a.m. June 17 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel in Fort Pierce. A service will be at noon June 17 at Miracle Prayer Temple.
