Obituary of John-R. McVey


MCVEY, John R., age 51 of Spring Hill passed away on Monday, September 27, 2004 at his home. He was born in The Bronx, NY and came to this area 32 years ago from Port Jefferson, NY. He was an electrical contractor and was active with the Spring Hill Youth Athletic Bowling Association (YABA). He was an avid bowler, enjoyed football and deep-sea fishing. He loved being a father and grandfather and enjoyed helping and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his two sons: Eric McVey of Palm Harbor, FL; Shawn and his wife Rachel McVey; one daughter: Summer and her husband, Desmond Maner, both of Spring Hill; three grandsons: Christian, Isaiah, Noah; two granddaughters: Kali, Madison; brother: Robert and his wife, Donna McVey of Las Vegas, NV; nieces and nephews, and significant other, Julia Koon. Friends will be received on Friday, October, 1, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Seven Hills Chapel of Brewer & Sons Funeral Home.
