Major (Ret'd) John Percival Elliott 1930 - 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of Major (Ret'd) John Percival Elliott announces his passing. Along with his loving wife, Joan Elliott (nee Woods), John's memory will be cherished by his five children, John "Jack" Elliott, Kim (Susan) Elliott, Ruth Elliott, Sally (Jeffrey) Meadows, Garth (Kim) Elliott; his grandchildren, Tiffany, James, Jenna, Cody, Nicholas, Cooper, Kacia and Shealynn; great-grandchildren, Jade, James and Evan; brother, Robert (Mary) Elliott. Predeceased by his parents Vern and Rita Elliott, and sister Ruby Kew. John was born in Maple Creek on November 29, 1930, had an illustrious, multiple posting career in the Canadian Armed Forces, including Two Tours of Duty as a Peace Keeper with the United Nations. A Celebration of John's Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, Medicine Hat, Alberta. Toll free 1-877-528-6455. A private memorial will be held concurrently in Ottawa.
