John Michael "Mike" Grimes, 62, of Union City, Indiana passed away Monday December 22, 2014 at his residence. Mike was born October 15, 1952 in Union City, Indiana the son of John H. and Betty (Bousman) Grimes. Mike worked for the City of Union City, Ohio for over 30 yrs. as the head of the Water Department retiring in "2008." Mike was a very caring person always thinking of others needs instead of his own. Mike is survived by; wife of 39 yrs. Brenda Harshman Grimes; daughter, Tia (Stuart) Stevens of Indianapolis, Indiana; 3 grandchildren, Lauryn, Gabrielle and Aaron; a step grandson, Aaron; parents, John H. & Betty Bousman Grimes of U.C., Ohio; brother, Bill (Kim) Grimes of Columbia, S.C.; mother-in-law, Ann Senior; father-in-law, Pappy Harshman; niece, Angela (Jayson) Busbee; nephew, John Grimes; cousins and many friends also survive. A celebration of Mike's life will be 2:00 P.M. Friday December 26, 2014 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc. 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, Indiana with calling 2 hours prior to services. Memorials may be made to V.F.W. Post #7084 with envelopes at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Lisbon Cemetery in Union City, Indiana.
