Obituary of John McLellan


McLELLAN _ John Gilmore. Passed away with his family by his side on March 14, 2003 at Markham Stouffville Hospital, Markham, ON, in his 88th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Winnifred. Loving father of Richard MeLellan of St. Catharines, Barbara and her husband Stephen Seymour of Unionville and Dr. Kenneth McLellan of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Pamela and Ricky. Dear brother of Robert McLellan and his wife Edith, of Richmond, B.C., Leonard McLellan and his wife Ruth, of Vancouver, B.C. Uncle and great-uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was a special friend of the late Della Sweet. Gil was a professional engineer, an active member of the Kiwanis Club, a board member of CNIB and a longstanding member of Grantham United Church in St. Catharines, ON. The family would like to say many thanks to the caring staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital. The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, 905-684-6346 on Monday, March 17, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Grantham United Church on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at 1:30p.m. Cremation to follow, If so desired memorial donations may be made to CNIB, Canadian Cancer Society or Grantham United Church.
