<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->DAVIS, John Kenneth "Kenny"; a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama was born on September 25, 1940 in Crenshaw County, Alabama and passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the age of 74. The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home. Mr. Davis will lie in state one half hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Wetumpka with Dr. James Troglen and Rev. Robert Wiggins officiating. Interment with U.S. Army Military Honors will follow at Pine View Memorial Gardens. Kenny is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna Freeney Davis; sons, Mark (Nicole) Davis and Chuck Davis; daughters, Cynthia (Jamie) Wilkinson and Kenna (Robert) Ashley; brother, Benny (Sherry) Davis; sister, Jane (Kenny) Short; and eight grandchildren.
