ObituaryJohn James Williams, 79, of Muse, passed away Sept. 29, 2003 in Muse. He was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Baker Hill, AL to Browder Williams and Minnie Mae Johnson Williams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII in the South Pacific. John was a longtime resident of Muse. Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Wilma Jean Williams, son, John Jr., daughters, Nita, Bonnie, and Robin and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, 10:30 AM at the Fort Denaud Cemetery in LaBelle with Pastor Bob Moore officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #130. Visitation is scheduled Thursday from 7-9 PM at the Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle.
