ERICSON, JOHN HARRY Mr. John Harry Ericson, 84, passed away Wednesday, February 25, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wilton, CT, he moved to Umatilla, FL in 1971, then to Oviedo in 2000. He was a highly regarded builder and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy SeaBees of World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion and was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Winter Park. Survivors include wife, Blanche Ericson; son, Harry V. Ericson and wife, Susan, Melbourne, FL; daughters, Sharon B. Sedig, Orlando, FL, Diane F. Berteau, Gloucester, VA, Nancy L. Carpenter and husband, Michael, Orlando, FL; and 11 grandchildren, Laura, Kristen, Greg, Tony, Curtis, Russell, Cory, Kyle, Ryan, Kelsey and Christopher. Funeral services will be held 3PM Sunday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Winter Park, with Pastor David J. Nixon officiating. Interment will be 10AM Monday, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Saturday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Winter Park. Special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center of Orlando for their compassionate care.
