John H. Tower TAMWORTH - John H. Tower, 70, of Tamworth passed away June 21, 2014. Born in Manchester, the son of Frank and Priscilla (Chouinard) Tower, he grew up in Mount Vernon and lived in Newmarket from 1974 until 2007 when he became a snowbird traveling between Tamworth in the summer and Florida or South Carolina in the winters John proudly served as an Electrician's Mate and Firefighter for the U.S. Coast Guard from 1961 - 1965 aboard the Coast Guard Cutter USCGC Chincoteague. John was a NH and MA licensed Master Electrician and worked in his trade both self-employed and for Stellos Electric for over 30 years. John is survived by his son, Marc V. Tower and his wife Heather of Tamworth; a daughter, Michelle L. Bochantin and her husband Joseph of Lake Villa, Ill.; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Bruce Tower and Frank Tower, both of Mount Vernon and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Amanda Tower, in 1998. There will be a brief memorial service followed by a celebration of life Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Tamworth Camping Area on Depot Road in Tamworth.
