HENDERSON, Joan Eva Born July 27, 1929 at Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully after a long battle with Diabetes on March 7, 2008. She will be kept in the hearts of her husband of 61 years Bill, children Jim (Susan), Wayne (Candice), Danny (Jackie), 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her sister Grace, 2 brothers Leonard and Clifford, numerous family and friends. Joan spent her first 10 years in Regina before moving to Happy Valley where she stayed until meeting her Bill. In the mid 80's Joan and Bill moved to Mill Bay and 3 years ago Joan moved into the Cowichan Lodge. She was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Women's Auxiliary and volunteered many years helping the baseball league in Happy Valley.
