Obituary of Jo Johnson


Dr. Jo Harold Johnson, 70, husband of Mary Anne Wickliffe Johnson, of 2183 Beech Creek Road, Lexington, S.C., died Oct. 15th 2008, after a long illness at his home. Along with his loving and caring wife of 48 years, Jo leaves behind a daughter, Deborah Johnson Michalowski and husband, Greg of Scottsdale, Ariz.; son, Haley Wickliffe Johnson and wife, Heather of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren, Matthew Michalowski and Brian Michalowski of Tempe, Ariz, and Robert Michalowski of Scottsdale, Ariz; and Alexandra Hill and Ian Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a sister, Frances Johnson Hindman of Elon College, N.C.A memorial "Celebration of Life" service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 20th, 2008 at The Rock Quarry Garden, 200 McDaniel Aveý., Greenville, SC with the Reverend Mike Hayhurst of the Simpsonville United Methodist Church officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice, National Parkinson Foundation, Inc. 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue, Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494 (https://www.parkinson.org ), or to Boy Scout Troop 159 of Simpsonville, SC, Scoutmaster Richard Koontz, Boy Scout Troop 159, 209 Park Court, Simpsonville, SC 29680.A full obituary and a memorial registry can be seen/posted on www.imemorial.com.
