DAVIS Jewell Ann Hall Davis was born May 19, 1923 and she died May 13, 2007. She was 6 days short reaching her 84th birthday. She had been ill for several years with dementia and arthritis. Ann was born and raised in Topsham, Maine. She was the daughter of Walter Stone Hall and Elizabeth Drucilla Smith Hall. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Davis to whom she was married for over 60 years. They were married June 7, 1946 in Jax, Fla. at Main Street Baptist Church. She is survived by 3 children, Tim and (Jackie) of Ohio, Tom and (Ellie) of Gainesville, Becky and (Julian) of N.C.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Tammy and (Rusty) of N.C., Julian Edwin of N.C., Courtney and (Henry) of Orlando, Tom of Gainesville, Keith and (Jenny) of Ohio, Kevin of West Virginia and Kristi of Chicago. She also has 4 great grandchildren, Jasmine and Cody of N.C., Kyle of Ohio and Kelsey. She was a member of the Hogan Spring Civic Association for many years. She was a cub scout leader and a Sunday school teacher and she was also a member of the church choir at Peeler Methodist. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile of Morocco Shrine Temple. She was also a member of the Space Seekers Travel Trailer Club for many years. She was a member of Faith UMC. She is survived by a sister, Virginia Benton of Maryland and 2 brothers, Robert who is deceased and James Hall of Atlanta. Ann Davis is at Hewell and Son Funeral Home on University Blvd. Services will be at Faith United Methodist Church on Friday, May 18 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church 1 hour before the service. A luncheon will be held at the church after the burial.
