WILLIAMS, JERRY L. (JL), 67Gainesville - Jerry L. Williams (JL) passed away on Sunday, October 28, he was 67. JL was born in Ellzey, Florida. He moved to Gainesville 58 years ago. He loved hunting and fishing and taught his sons and grandchildren a love of nature and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn; a son, Rusty and his wife Krista; a son Darrell; and five grandchildren, Bobby, Kimberly, Travis, Brian and Brandon. He is also survived by his sister, Lillian Hinson, of Trenton, Florida; and a brother, David Williams of Jacksonville. The family will receive friends at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN 404 N. Main Street on Thursday, November 1 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 2 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.
