April 22, 1936 - Sept. 30, 2011 Jean B. Hamley Jean Beverly Hamley, 75, of Harvest passed away Friday at her residence. She was born April 22, 1936, in Iron Mountain, Mich. She retired from Hart & Cooley in Huntsville and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Hamley. Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Zimmer of Toney and Lisa Acklin of Harvest; stepdaughter, Patty Smiley of Harvest; grandchildren, Brian Smiley, Alicia Kimbrough, Celeta Smiley, Steven Smiley and Katie Acklin; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Kivi of Michigan, Betty Reeves of North Carolina and Edith Lee of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Copeland Cemetery. Spry Funeral Home of Athens is directing.
