Obituary of Janet-Thomson Miller


AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Janet Thomson Miller, 74 of Parkway South, died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Noon in Town Creek Baptist Church with The Rev. Donald L. Pope officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Gloucester City, NJ, Mrs. Miller was a daughter of the late James and Alice May Brauning Thomson and the widow of John Allen Miller. She moved to Aiken 12 years ago from Burlington, KS and was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She taught piano for many years. Surviving are four sons, Gerald Miller, Tampa, FL, Jack Miller, Joliet, IL, Jeff Miller, London, England and Joe Miller, Columbia; two brothers, Charlie Thomson and Jimmy Thomson, both of Gloucester, NJ; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael, Jonathan, Joseph, Tim, J.J., Josh and Nathan. The family will receive fri ends Saturday from 11 AM until Noon at the church.
