James-Edward Clark, born in 1923, spouse of Betty Clark, father of Michael, Julie and Constance, died on January 17, 2009 at 86 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
CLARK, James Edward, 86, of Kings Point in Sun City Center, Fla., passed away January 17, 2009, at South Bay Hospital. He served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army in World War II and as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Corp in Korea. He received his electrical engineering degree from the University of Tennessee in 1948. Most of his career was at Dayton Power and Light, where he worked his way through the ranks from power salesman and ending as vice president of computer services. He retired in 1983 and moved to Florida in 2000. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Chaz, and sister, Frances. Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughters, Constance and Julie; son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Melissa and his brother, David. Jim was a member of the Rotary Club, American Legion and the Florida Veterans of Foreign Wars. His other passions included golf, bridge, poker and practically any kind of sports. "Go Vols and Buckeyes!" A celebration of James' fantastic life will take place at the Kings Point Clubhouse; details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sun City Center emergency squad or your favorite charity.
