James A. Williams, 82, of Cherokee, died Jan. 12, 2009.A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Harris Chapel Cemetery.Mr. Williams was a native of Colbert County. He served in the Navy in World War II and was a member of Boilermaker No. 455 at Colbert Steam Plant.He was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Williams.Survivors are wife, Angelene Williams; sons, Larry Don Williams (Bebe), Terry Wayne Williams (Brenda) and Ronald Dale Williams (Sue); daughters, Judith Ann Brown, Debbie Terry (Galen) and Tammy McGuire (Johnny); brothers, Clyde, Chester, Robert and Charlie Williams; sisters, Margaret Ogletree and Joyce Billings; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee, is directing.
