JACK C.CARTER, 70Cargill BARTOW - Jack C. Carter, age 70, passed away from heart failure Tuesday July 14, 2009. Born January 15, 1939 in Tampa, Mr. Carter was the son of the late Joseph B. and Effie L. Carter. Mr. Carter worked as a human resource manager for Cargill. Mr. Carter was Protestant and also was a certified mediator for the County Courts of Polk County. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife Rosemary Carter of Bartow, four step daughters: Stacey Burns (Daniel) of Saint Marys, GA, Lynda Gibson of Crawfordville, Debbie Gibson of Tallahassee, Renee Gibson (Alex) of Annendale, NJ, four sons: Michael Carter (Donna) of Tampa, Jeff Carter (Kirs-ten) of Denver, CO, Jack Carter, Jr. of Cape Coral, Chris Carter (Anita) of Wilbur-by-the-sea, and step son Gordon Gibson of Orlando. He also leaves behind his brother Joseph B. Carter (Betty) of Weeki Wachee, sister Tana Bierce of Tampa, and ten grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Carter will be held Friday, July 17th at 2:00pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow.
