MORRISON Hugh Milnor, of Whiting, New Jersey, devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 7, 2014. Born January 6, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York, and raised on North Pleasant Avenue in Ridgewood, New Jersey, he was the youngest of five brothers, all of whom served during the Second World War. After service in the Navy, he graduated from Pratt Institute and was employed as a chemical engineer by Caltex Petroleum for 33 years. In his later years, he was an advocate of solar energy and renewable resources. Hugh was an avid fan of the New York Mets, and shared their triumphs and failures with his son. Hugh is survived by his wife Patricia of 63 years, two daughters, Jacqueline Harrington of Nottingham, NH, and Josephine Nason of New Ipswich, NH, and son William of Hartsdale, NY. His oldest daughter Barbara predeceased Hugh in 1995. Hugh is also survived by six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. No service will be held at this time.
