HARTFORD - Helen Williams, 62, departed this life on Thursday, June 14, 2007. She was born on April 11, 1945, the daughter of Henrietta Anderson of Hartford, and the late Alfred Lester. Besides her mother, Helen is survived by her three sons, Jerome H. Williams Jr., Edward G. Williams, both of Hartford, and Charles Williams, of South Carolina; four daughters, Beverly Williams of Manchester, Lisa M. Williams, Janine Williams, and Brandie Williams, of Hartford; three sisters, Alberta Lester, Deborah Lester, of Hartford, and Josephine Pond, of Georgia; nineteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; and cousins, and Valeria Forbes "like a daughter." Helen was predeceased by the late Jerome H. Williams Sr., James Gibson, James Moore; and three children, Halina, Wanda and Norman Williams. Service will be held at Faith Center Church, 22 Crown St., Meriden, on Saturday, June 23, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends and guests in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. Memorial donations in honor of Helen may be made to the C.H.A.I.N Fund Inc., P.O.
