AUGUSTA, Ga. - Helen N. Davis, born in Nashville, TN 8/7/1930, to Henry P. Nolen and Lily May Carroll Nolen, died Feb. 22, 2011. She is survived by one daughter Brenda D. Swarm, of Lake City, Fl. Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Four sisters, Dolores Porter and Jessica Berry of Franklin, NC, Lutie Amoon of Statesville, NC and Penny Scott of Panorama City, CA, two nephews Edward and Alec Amoon, of NC. She was predeceased by her husband Otis G. Davis and two sons, Charles E. Davis and Kevin L. Davis. Helen was an avid collector of rocks, gems, minerals and jewelry. She was also an award winning ball room dancer. Her employment was with Civil Service for 25 years. She retired to Augusta, GA, in 1990. She was cremated by Poteet and Sons, of Augusta, GA. Services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Hospice of Georgia.
