GONZALEZ, Helen Mary Eckart, 87, of Tampa, passed away October 15, 2007. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Herbert Gonzalez; and son, Stephen M. Gonzalez. Survivors include her son, Paul E. Gonzalez, and wife, Gaynell; daughter, Beverly Gruber, and husband, Larry; sisters-in-law, Dorothy "Dottie" Quarterman, Carolyn Eckart and Lorriane Eckart; grandchildren, Paul Anthony "Tony" Gonzalez and wife, Kristen, Yecenia "Shenny" Cox and husband, Richard, Jeff Gruber and wife, Tina, Doug Gruber, Jason Gruber and wife, Tina, Sean Swafford, Stephen Gonzalez and Megan Gonzalez; great- grandchildren, Richie, Alecia, Dylan, Marcus, Michael, Joey, Leigh Ann, James, David and Jace; and several loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A lifelong Tampa resident, Helen was an office manager and retired from the Hillsborough County School Board. She was a member of the Women' s Club and Garden Club but, most importantly, she devoted her life to her family and friends. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 19, at the Blount and Curry Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 20, at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 10110 N. Central Ave., Tampa, Fla., to be followed by interment at Lake Carroll Cemetery.
