HELEN HENDERSON MERRITT ISLAND Helen Fletcher Henderson, 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Helen was born in Nicholas ville, KY on September 29, 1920. She was the last surviving child out of nine born to Robert and Nancy Gray Fletcher. She resided in Bloomingdale, Ohio, most of her adult life. She was a long time member of the Bloomingdale United Presbyterian Church. Helen retired as a school teacher after many years of faithful service to the residents of Adena, Bloom ingdale and Wintersville, Ohio. She moved to Merritt Island, FL in 1994 to be near her daughter, Connie Miller. Helen was predeceased in 1984 by her husband of 39 years, Lewis E. Henderson. She is survived by her son, Thomas L. Henderson of Wal nut Creek, CA and a daughter, Cornelia (Connie) H. Miller of Merritt Island, FL. Helen is also survived by four grandchildren, Scott Henderson and Michael, Ryan and Brett Miller; two great- grandchildren, Blake and Emma Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 65 Needle Blvd., Merritt Island, at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 30th. A subsequent in terment service will be held at the Fort Steuben Cemetery in Wintersville, Ohio, at a future date. Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lew.
