She was born May 6, 1921, in Forest Station, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Cameron) Wheaton. Hazel spent her life sharing her big, warm, generous heart with her family and friends, always with a smile and an incredibly lovable sense of humor that would leave you laughing. Hazel was always there with a helping hand for any who needed it. She enjoyed her flower gardens, cooking, watching a Red Sox game on TV, playing Skip-Bo with her daughter, Betty, watching The Guiding Light and, during her more active years, an occasional shopping trip to Bangor or Lincoln. Hazel was such a big part of the lives of those who knew her it would be impossible to list all that she did and all that she meant - just knowing her was a source of delight and always a pleasure! She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Ralph C. Davis; her parents, Thomas and Mary Wheaton; her siblings and their spouses, Douglas and Eleanor Wheaton, Archie Wheaton, Bliss Wheaton, Freese and Joan Wheaton, Hawley and Doris Thornton, Glenn and Edith Pressley, and Harry and Mertie Walker; and her son-in-law, Stuart Doane. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Doane of Enfield; sons, David and his wife, Jolayne, of Milford, and Sidney of West Enfield; brother-in-law, Danny Shay of Danforth; a sister-in-law, Mary Lynn Wheaton of Norridgewock; also her grandchildren, David Davis Jr. and wife, Donna, of Norridgewock, Robin Chase and husband, Jed, of Farmington, Julie Moeller and her husband, Rich, of Turner, Hoyt Sutherland and his wife, Lisa, of Hanover, N.H., and Shari Davis of Norridgewock. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including very special ones, Paul Thornton and his wife, Joyce, and their son, Ricky; and Ronald Thornton, all of Lincoln, Philip Thornton and his wife, Gale, of Millinocket, and Sandi and Jerry Granholm of Hampden.
