Ms. Hattie Mae Walden, age 86, of Clermont, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011, at her residence following a brief illness.Ms. Walden was born in Jackson County on February 21, 1925, to the late Thomas and Hattie Walden. She was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Walden, Eugene Walden, Spencer Walden, Harold Walden, Louis Walden; sisters, Annie Bell Motes, Sarah Rogers; brother-in-law, W.L. (Apple) Savage; sisters-in-law, Irene Walden and Mary Walden. Ms. Walden was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. She worked as an inspector for Chicopee Manufacturing for 20 plus years.Survivors include brothers and sister-in-laws, L.B. and Mildred Walden, Lula; Hugh and Bobbie Walden, Homer; sister, Loraine Savage, Clermont; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Dennis Pierce, Gainesville: nephew and niece, Jimmy and Kaycee Motes, Cleveland; sisters-in-law, Mary Walden, Maysville, Dorothy Walden, Lula; several other nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Kyle Savage, the Rev. Mark Gunter, and the Rev. Hugh Walden will officiate.
