JOHNSON, HARRY LEE - age 84, of Rutledge, passed away August 22, 2014, at UT Medical Center. Harry was a former professor of civil engineering at the University of Tennessee where he earned his master's of engineering degree in 1973. He enjoyed working as a consultant with Allen and Hoshall Engineering in Memphis from 1973 to 1979. Harry was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward Johnson; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Johnson. Harry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Voiles Johnson; step son, Michael Howell, his wife, Deborah, and their children, Daniel and Ruth Howell of Greer, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raiford and Erma Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Richard and Ruby Johnson of Pensacola, FL; brother, Ernest Johnson of Memphis, TN; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Johnson, of Pensacola, FL; several nieces and nephews.
