WHEELER Harriet Buckingham Wheeler, age 89 of Seymour, entered into rest on Christmas Day at Gardner Heights in Shelton, after a brief illness. She was born in Oxford on October 29, 1920, daughter of the late Ralph E. and Florence Buckingham Wheeler. She was a devout member of the Seymour Congregational Church and a member of the Church choir. She was a Benevolence Collector of the Church for many years. Harriet was also a member of the Church's Ladies' Guild. She retired from the Seymour Manufacturing Co. and was a secretary and bookkeeper for the company for more than 50 years. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling. She was an avid reader and loved being with her family. Her loving family includes her cherished nieces, Vivien Narowski and her husband, John of Southington, Laura Johnson and her husband, Kenneth of Seymour, and Joan Huebner and her husband, Walter of Seymour; two devoted great-nephews, Erich Huebner and his wife, Sarah of Oxford and Brian Huebner of Seymour; and six loving great-nieces, Laurie Huebner of Seymour, Jaime Puckett and her husband, Matthew of Milford, Janice Narowski of Milford, MA, Sandra Cirilli and her husband, Nicholas of Pennington, N.J., Holly Narowski, and Joy Narowski, both of Southington. She was predeceased by her brother, Samuel C. Wheeler. A Prayer Service in celebration of Harriet's life will be held on TUESDAY, December 29 at 10 a.m. at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Route 67 opposite Klarides Village), Seymour. At 11 a.m. a funeral service will be held at the Seymour Congregational Church, 15 Broad Street, Seymour, with the Reverend Greg Dawson, Pastor, officiating. Springtime interment in the family plot at Trinity Cemetery, Seymour, CT. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Harriet's memory may be made to the Seymour Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 15 Broad Street, Seymour, CT 06483.
