STEWART _ Grace Agnes (nee Stovel) July 28, 1921 - March 22, 2006 Grace passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital, after a brief struggle with leukemia. Beloved mother of Diane King, Linda Farquhar (Michael), and Phyllis Butler (Bruce). She was blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren Norman (Dianna), Shawna (Sean), Alexander, Graham, Kate, Kim, Daniel, and three great-grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley and Adam. Also survived by her sister Helen and brother Art of Guelph, Ontario. Predeceased by her loving husband Wilson in 1982. Grace graduated from nursing school in 1944, and as a bride travelled west to Elstow, Saskatchewan in 1945. The family moved to Lethbridge in 1956 and to Vancouver in 1963. Grace was a consummate volunteer who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her kindness, empathy and love of family never wavered. Always ready with a helping hand or a home baked treat, she will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Trans Canada Trail ( www.tctrail.ca ) Service will be held Sunday, March 26th at 2:30 pm at Highlands United Church located in Edgemont Village in North Vancouver at 3255 Edgemont Boulevard.
