Lakeland Regional Medical CenterTAMPA -- Mrs. Gladys Efird Johnson of Tampa, formerly of Lakeland, died of heart failure Thursday (May 5, 2005) at home. She was 90.Born in Montgomery County, N.C., on May 29, 1914, she came to the area from North Carolina in 1946. She was a supervisor of the bake shop at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Temple Heights Baptist Church.Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husbands, Lester I. Efird, and Charles D. Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Efird, Chattanooga, Tenn., Becky Encinosa, Tampa; two half sisters; three half brothers; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 S. Bartow Highway. Graveside services follow at 2 p.m. Monday at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
