WILMINGTON, Mass. - Ger-trude Louise (Holmes) Davis, 95, formerly of Presque Isle, died March 17, 2008, at Winchester Hospital, Winchester, Mass. She was born March 29, 1913, in Caribou, the daughter of the late Norman and Alice W. (Wright) Holmes. For several years she owned and operated her own beauty parlor in Presque Isle. Gertrude left Presque Isle in 1995, to live with her daughter, Joan, in Wilmington, Mass. She was the beloved wife of the late Sylvanus S. Davis, loving mother of Joan D. Searfoss and her husband, Richard, of Wilmington, Mass., and the late Gary W. Davis. Gertrude is also survived by two grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
