Geraldine "Gerry" Smith, 91, North Port, died April 3, 2005, at Linn Health Center in East Providence, Mass. She was born in York, Pa., and was a resident of Washington, D.C., before moving to North Port. Survivors include daughters Janet D. Taylor of Providence, Mass., and Gloria K. Bello of Louisiana; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be in North Port on May 17. National Cremation Society, Quincy, Mass., is in charge.
