Retired Contractor DEARING, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, October 22, 2003, in Gibson, Mr. George Wayne Anderson, 56, of Bowden Pond Road, Dearing. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2003, at Fort Creek Baptist Church, Dearing, with the Dr. Phil Bray and Rev. Boyd Reeves officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Anderson, a native of Wilkes County, was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County. He was a retired contractor and U.S. Army Reserve. Mr. Anderson was member of Fort Creek Baptist Church where he had served as deacon. Survivors include his father, George Anderson, Dearing; Dearing; three daughters, Tammy McClure (Brent), Carol Usry (Brian) , and April Dent, all of Dearing; one sister, Sandra West, Dearing; his former wife, Donna Anderson, and three grandsons. Pallbearers will be David Huff, Kenneth Huff, Jack McCorkle, Dr. Kenneth Reeves, Charles McCorkle, and Randy McCorkle. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Ruben Huff Sunday School Class, Deacons and Brotherhood of Fort Creek Baptist Church. If so desired, memorials may be made to Fort Creek Baptist Building Fund, 1497 Fort Creek Road, Dearing, GA 30808. Friends may call at the residence of his daughter, Carol Usry, Bowden Pond Road, Dearing, Ga. or Thursday evening 7 to 9 PM at Starling Funeral Home, Hwy 78, Harlem, Georgia.
