BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - George Ronald Goodwin, of Brooksville, Fla. formerly of Meriden passed away at home in Florida on Thursday, March 6, 2014, after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Meriden to George and Evelyn Goodwin on Oct. 1, 1941. He retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel after 42 years. He enjoyed Nascar racing, traveling, and his life in Florida.George is survived by his wife of 53 years Geraldine (Beaudoin) Goodwin; his daughter, Jennifer Koss and her husband, Edward; son, Ronald and his wife, Michelle; brother, David Goodwin and his wife Pamela; and also a sister, Lynn Thomas. He was very proud of his granddaughter, Emma Koss. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey; his brother, Richard; and his father, George.A graveside service for relatives and friends will be held at Walnut Grove Memorial Gardens on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. in Meriden.
