Kellogg Co. PrinterLAKELAND -- Mr. George Gordon Jackson Jr. of Lakeland died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Sunday (Nov. 16, 2003) at Good Shepherd Hospice Care Center. He was 80.Born Sept. 18, 1923, in Valparaiso, Ind., he came here from Battle Creek, Mich., in 1986. He worked in printing for Kellogg Co. He was a Catholic. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. He belonged to American Legion Post 54 in Battle Creek, Mich., and the 16th Armored Division Association.Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Geraldine F. Jackson; son, George G. Jackson III, St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Services will be at 11 this morning at Heath Funeral Chapel.
