George J. Goodwin, 64, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at the Hunterdon Medical Center. Friends are invited to visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Ave. West in Cranford, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Church, Cranford. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J. Originally from Cranford, N.J., George lived the past 12 years in Milford, N.J. He was an insurance consultant with Willis North America. He was a former teacher in Cranford and had been the basketball coach at Cranford High School and an assistant basketball coach at James Madison University in Virginia. An avid golfer, he was a graduate of Paterson University. Surviving are his beloved wife, Maria (Aquino) Goodwin; his loving son, Christopher, and his devoted father, George.
